Esther’s spent a lot of time ferrying back and forth between Alberta and the West Coast dragging an upright grand piano. She realized, too late, that she missed her opportunity to invest in U-Haul and has instead been a performer for the past 27 years. She’s worked as a musician, in radio, film, television, and has performed in theatres from Ontario to BC, picking up the odd award for her work along the way.

Esther’s always dabbled in writing, but turned her attention to it more seriously a few years ago when she co-wrote and co-produced the short film Goner (she also ended up co-composing and writing a couple of the songs). Since then she’s been singing jazz and hacking away at a few play ideas, a web series, and some poetry. She hopes to complete some, if not all, of these projects in her lifetime, if for no other reason than to have a little less ruckus in her head.

Esther’s thrilled to be part of A Tarot Journey, working with this grand group of creative folk. She wants to thank her daughter Stella for being the amazing creature she is, and for walking this road beside her. And finally, Esther dedicates this show to the late great Tim Sutherland, who always told her she could do everything. Love.
