Jennifer West's musical career started with the folk band Natural Elements, who performed across Canada in the late 1980's – early 1990's. Her musical credits include singing on Bob Bossin's CD VOR IXO, recording a CBC project with Stephen Fearing, and performing for Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe at Victoria's McPherson Playhouse on the occasion of CBC opening a new station in that city. Reruns of that show are still occasionally played by CBC Radio. She also opened the Vancouver Folk Festival in 1989 with Rob Menzies, Jennifer West and Friends and is no stranger to other Canadian folk festivals. At present, she sings with a local rock band, teaches singing, and coleads a choir in her small island community.
